Diane, the young lady of the prestigious Lockwood earldom.
After losing both of her parents in successive tragic accidents, she is married off by a distant relative—now her new guardian—to a wealthy man thirty years her senior. But on her wedding night, while waiting in the bridal chamber, she is murdered.
And then, shockingly, she opens her eyes again.

At first, it must have been sympathy.
Looking at her, she seemed like the most pitiful, heartbreaking person in the world, too hard to leave alone.
“If I start courting you, many gentlemen will line up to follow my lead. Choosing the best among them and marrying him will be up to you…”
And so Julian begins a ‘fake courtship’ with Diane to help her find a new husband.
