The woman’s body stiffened as the heavy mass invaded her mouth.

“……!”

Perhaps surprised by his sudden action, she flinched and squirmed as if trying to resist. But Raphael simply tilted his head downward, blocking her.

He hadn’t felt the need to reject her provocation—because, frankly, it wasn’t unpleasant.

What she had done earlier was like child’s play, something only a naive girl might do. Like a child awkwardly mimicking a kiss, she had rubbed her lips against his and stolen his breath.

Yet somehow, that clumsy act stirred something in him.

Even if he’d been suppressing desire due to the battlefield, he hadn’t expected it to erupt this way…

Realizing it, a dry laugh escaped him.

His thighs tensed, and heat pooled in his abdomen. Raphael was acutely aware of the stiffness rising below him.

His body had responded to her brazen, pathetic provocation.

He had never questioned his own restraint before. There had been no inconvenience, nor any lack.

But his body had already reacted like a starved beast to this crude, predictable seduction.

So, he had no reason to refuse.

“……!”

Gripping the back of her neck to prevent her from escaping, Raphael captured her tongue. Her eyes widened as his tongue filled her mouth.

“Nn…!”

Helpless against the heated breath mixing between them, a faint moan escaped from beneath him.

Staring down at her face through lowered lids, Raphael caught her fleeing tongue and sucked it deeply.

“Ah… ngh…!”

Soon, a sweet moan tinged with pleasure slipped from her lips.

Raphael held her shoulders and gently stroked the nape of her neck. He could feel the strength draining from her flushed, reddened body.

Even as she began to collapse, Raphael didn’t let go. Holding her small face still, he licked her palate, drawing a slight shiver from her.

Her cheek, tinged with a faint pink hue, softened under his hand. Smooth, warm, and full of life—the skin of a human.

“Breathe.”

He pulled back briefly and said the words.

For someone who had initiated the seduction, she didn’t even know how to intertwine tongues.

Her face was bright red, foolishly holding her breath to the point she looked ready to faint.

Raphael moved his thumb along her neck where he held her nape.

“Were you planning to hold your breath the whole time?”

“Haa, haa…”

Only then did Rosanna open her mouth wide and inhale deeply, having finally realized she’d been holding her breath.

She thought she should respond, but her head was swimming.

‘Too close…’

As the man slowly inhaled, his low breath warmed the area around her neck and dropped to her collarbone.

The man before her was the most handsome person Rosanna had ever seen.

Even Damion, who prided himself on his looks, couldn’t compare.

Jet-black hair like the night, a sharply defined forehead, deep-set eyes, and a straight nose that cut across the center.

Firm lips that gave weight to every word he spoke.

It made her feel like no one suited the title of knight better than this man.

Her eyes, tracing over every feature of his face as if caressing them, slowly drifted downward to his lips.

His lips were damp, mixed with both their saliva.

‘I was just with that man…’

Goosebumps rose on her skin. She couldn’t believe she had done such a thing with this man.

Just now, she had kissed him, exchanged breaths, and tangled their tongues together like entwining vines.

‘What am I doing…’

When Raphael first began to examine her, she had only wished for relief from the aching pain coursing through her body.

The unbearable heat had invaded her entire being, burning through her veins and cells. She had feared she might die from it.

But the moment he pulled her into his arms, she felt as if she were okay. Miraculously, the heat in her body began to cool with his touch.

‘That’s all it was…’

Gradually, her head cleared, and reason returned.

The fiery impulse that had carried her like a sweet dream chilled as if doused with cold water.

As her vision finally sharpened, she saw her situation for what it was.

The forest path she had taken, planning to escape from Dahlia’s request.

Yet the one before her now was the man with jet-black hair.

Cold blue eyes pierced through her. In that instant, the haze clouding her mind lifted.

“I… wait, wait a moment…”

Rosanna’s long lashes fluttered like a butterfly caught in a web.

For a moment, her distant reason returned. What she had done to this man came back to her with clarity.

‘I… I did that to him…’

Her blood ran cold. She had been the one to steal his lips first.

She didn’t know why she had acted so suddenly, why she’d felt such a base impulse.

Now that reason had returned, all she could think was that she had to stop.

Rosanna hurriedly tried to speak—

“W-wait, this is… Ah!”

But the string of words that escaped her lips in confusion vanished the moment his hot lips met hers.

Rosanna stared at the man who kissed her again, her eyes wide open.

His expression unreadable, his eyes sank deep with shadow. This time, it wasn’t just about stealing breath.

Before Rosanna could react, his rough hand seized her breast tightly.

‘Ah, it hurts!’

As his strong grip crushed her left breast, her chest heaved in pain.

His hand swept from beneath upward along her body, then aggressively slipped through the gaps in her clothes.

“S-stop…!”

Rosanna hurriedly grabbed his wrist to stop him.

Tears welled up in fear. She pushed against the man pressing down on her like a solid boulder with all her strength.

But again, he didn’t budge. He didn’t even flinch.

Helplessness brimmed in her eyes, and tears welled. Rosanna began to realize what he intended to do to her.

“Yes, just like that, you have to beg me to put it in.”

Damion had once grabbed the hair of the maid attending Rosanna and whispered viciously.

Despite the words sounding like a question, he was already thrusting his hips roughly. Rosanna had seen exactly how they were joined.

The thick shaft extending from Damion was firmly lodged between the maid’s legs. The maid sobbed in a desperate voice.

“Lord Damion… H-haah…! Please, I want you…”

The maid’s pleading cries echoed vividly in her head. Every motion Damion made after that came back to her as clearly as if it were before her eyes.

Tears streamed down Rosanna’s flushed cheeks.

“…Lord Raphael. Please…”

“……”

Raphael looked down at her with a blank expression. The blue eyes embedded in his impassive face had sunk deeper than before.

Holding back the sobs threatening to spill, Rosanna moved her lips.

“Please… let me go…”

Raphael silently stared at the woman pleading with a face ready to break into tears.

Her soft body, crushed against his firm chest, trembled as if her heart would burst.

He never intended to listen to her from the beginning.

After all, she was the one who had initiated everything. Complaining about it now held little weight.

His shaft was already swollen, firm enough to pierce through her tender flesh at any moment.

To provoke him this far, only to try pulling away now—it made no sense.

“I-I think… I mistook you for someone else…”

“……”

“I-I know I acted on my own, but it wasn’t how I truly felt…”

“……”

“I’m sorry, truly… So please…”

Sorry. Mistake.

Raphael repeated those words silently.

The vegetables that had spilled from the straw basket rolled around them in a mess.

Her lips, soaked in saliva, caught his eye. Her red eyes were filled with pooling tears.

Sorry. Mistake. Sorry. Mistake.

‘Mistake…’

Raphael’s movement slowly came to a halt. She would’ve long been dead if not for him.

His blue eyes were tinged with scorn and annoyance.

He looked up at the sky veiled by half-dead gray trees, then back down at the woman.

‘Hah.’

A smirk escaped him. Raphael’s mood had completely soured.

It was infuriating.

“Then let me confess a mistake of my own.”

With an unreadable expression, Raphael leaned over the collapsed Rosanna.

Her heart sank as the large shadow of his body enveloped her completely.

His tall nose drew so close it nearly brushed her nape. His lips pressed near her ear and whispered, “You must be curious why I held a sword to your throat.”

“……”

At the cold tone, all of Rosanna’s movements froze.

Up to now, her resistance had been as weak as reeds rustling in the wind, but even that ceased. A dry smile appeared on Raphael’s lips.

Snow-white hair untouched by dirt. Moist, reddened eyes that couldn’t meet his gaze.

She had stood out from the beginning with her looks, but now, with the blood wiped clean from her face, her beauty was even more striking.

“I still haven’t decided how I’ll treat you.”

The woman, who earlier couldn’t even breathe properly, now trembled and looked up at him as if he were her executioner.

She looked so pitiful, it almost made him hesitate. But Raphael’s lips parted mercilessly.

“The place you were found is somewhere no one could survive without holy power. And you couldn’t even answer my question.”

She had failed to answer when he asked how many victims had been taken.

“I-I don’t understand what you’re talking about…”

“For example, the possibility that you’re connected to demon worshippers.”

“……”

His words betrayed any hope she had, delivered slowly and deliberately.

“Or… that you yourself may be a demon.”
